the girls bedroom

well this is the girls bedroom. its going to be very similar to a princess room but with my own stamp on to it. the door and the celing still need doing as does the chimney breast, and lighting. the skirting boards still too.

the dining room.

As you can see this is the unfinished dining room, still need to put in the dido rail and furnishings and then its done :)

living room

at the minute the living room is very unfinished, the coving and skirting boards need doing as does the celing. the door needs creating, and the fireplace needs fitting. sorry for the pic being slant its the way ive angled my camera, but you get the jist lol. i wasnt sure of the combination of the wallapapers and im not sure wether to put the stripy paper all the way across the back wall hmmm

The children's attic playroom

the childrens playroom is very birght and is animal based again but more on safari/jungle. as you can see you can still see where the stairs would of gone. this is going to be eventually filled in and a wall will be made to seperate the hallway from the playroom.

Here is a toy train- painted by me, 2 board games made my me, a pack of cards.

The new hallways.

As you can see this is the first floor hallway. i just need to put lights in and finish the stair cases and banisters. and put on a door to the girls bedroom. on the ground floor hallway, theres going to be a cupboard under the stairs for things such as mops, buckets, etc.

the process of extension.

as you can see i have extended a lttle furthur to create hallways, so that some of the rooms dont loose much space. i think this has worked well and im pleased with the outcome. my brother visited one day and came up with the idea- my boyfriend was far from pleased as this was his job to carry out the task, but am pleased with his work. All that needs doing is another dividing wall for the attic, and the roof putting on, then the front of the house needs sorting out.

the nursery.

The next room i tackled was the nursery. i decided on a tractor/farm theme, but with a little added twist of winnie the pooh and friends. on the back wall im planning on re-designing it and putting a murial of winnie the pooh and friends, on a tree. so watch this space. origionally the furniture such as the wardrobe and rocking chair was just plain wood, so i painted them white to tie in with cot. all i really need for this room now is a changing table, and a lamp. i also need to finish the windows off, do curtains and make a window sill.

the nearly finished family bathroom

as you can see this is the nearly finished family bathroom. all that needs doing is the door and a shower curtain with a shower head puttting up. and a few underwater pics need putting in.

The first room i decided to tackle was the bathroom, after making a dividing wall i started by placing down mosaic tiles bought from hobbycraft. this was very time consuming but well worth the effort
and long days. i also tiled behind the sink and put 3 pieces of mirrors between them. i added a small hand towel rail and a large bath towel rail, with a shelf and i added 3 little yellow ducklings for decoration.

front of the exmouth house

as the house was painted a yellow colour i decided to go for a cottage style look. i decided to paint the top half of the house white, and paper the bottom in a cottage style paper from the DHE. i then painted the wood a brown colour, to go witht the style of the house. as you can see the balcony has been completly removed and a larger window has been inserted.

exmouth house -ongoing.

This is the house when i first bought it. after deciding that the family who was going to be in it was a big family then extending it was a good option. A dividing wall was put in the attic to create a seperate bathroom and children's playoom. the balcony was removed as the door could barley open it due to the balcony railings so i decided to put a bigger windown instead. i also removed the porch which im thinking i might put it back on eventually. The bay windows on the other side were also made into one big window.
