kitchen update 5

well yet again heres another update for the kitchen, havnt touched it for a couple of days as ive been having to tidy my room up so that my brother can help me move it around, at the weeekend,. all in aid of the dolls house. at the moment its been sitting on a blanket box, but now im onto extending again and building the ktichen its sorta going to be a L shape so its not going to have to be placed on my floor.

ive started the white splash backs which i feel look fab- just the doors to finish and sink to fit, the extractor fan and then the flooring to finish as well as the windows, doors and feature wall-but cant do them, till my pad saw gets deleived grrr- hurry up mr postman!! lol

also please ignore the tv remote, just used as a prop to take this pic lol.. and also the red film needs to be finished but just wanted to see what it starts to look like with the tiles.

kitchen update llll

well this is my kitchen, the doors still need putting on hinges etc, and i need to make a few more doors, the skink needs cutting in too. then they are ready to be filled. after another coat of white for the insides too. this pic below is just to give an idea on the contrasts of colour so ignore the bits that havnt yet been finished, and the box under it. once i get the pattern i want they will be grouted and put in place.

kitchen update lll

well ive been busy doing my kitchen today, stil needs finishing but the main units are up just need painting white inside and some finishing touches with the red film. the worktops need sorting out and the sink needs cutting in.

oh and yes ive managed to make my doors open, all but the drawers. but need more hinges to finish the others off. heres some pics of my progress:

cupboard doors

                           the space between the two cupboards is where a shelf is going to be placed :)

as this was a flexi kit, the doors should be fixed, but i had plans lol.. wanting to fill my cupboards with goodies, and with not being able to afford ones that open, i decided to risk and try using small hinges from maple street, so now i have open cupboards :) just need to buy some more and finish the others. so all cupboards open baring the drawers.

so here is my kitchen. the doors have not been fixed in place as im waiting for some more hinges to arrive but this picture gives you the feel of what the kitchen is going to be like. under the units next to the cooker, are going to be more doors, and a sink is going to be placed on the worktop. some of the red film needs to be added in places. my next job tmorrow is to attempt to do the real slate black flooring, so that the units can be put in place. Theres hopefully going to be a red feature wall, white splash backs.

well today im planning on finishing the kitchen. got to put on the red film and finish the doors off but heres a sneak preview.

the tiles ive got are from richard stacey and they are real slate tiles.. hopefully they will look fab with this kitchen, although im not sure if im going to need another pack lol

kitchen

ok so this is the kitchen so far and it is the elf flexi kitchen kit. this is probs only half of my kitchen as i was wanting more work tops but this may change once ive decorated the kitchen and put the units in. As you can see i still need to put the doors on. Now as this is a flexi kit, the doors are fixed but i have some very tiny hinges which my boyfriend thinks he could put on to make the doors open :) the layout of the cupboards may also change knowing me lol..

washing machine and elf kitchen

well today i got my order from elf, well yesterday but opened it properly today and this melie washing machine was a bargin. 5.00 in the sale from 9.00 well chuffed. here it is : this is a video so you can here the noises. also included in the order was my kitchen well half of it until i can afford the rest lol x the red film is what colour my kitchen is going to be, and the granite type one is the work surfaces. this has cheered me up as i was quite anoyed yesterday to say the least. after a top weekend in newcastle.. just stupid pathetic little girls trying to ruin peoples lives, spreading crap around, and twisitng everything making out shes the inocent one when shes not.. lets just say ive seen her ways in a new light now, and am glad shes not in my 2011. well she is but not properly. lol.. anyway after having a chat with my chuckle sister, from the forum (funkymonkey) im feeling a lot better, missed talking to the forum people and with shellby, sometimes forum members/friends are better friends that my real life friends haha.

princess bedroom update

well here it is, its not 100% finished as the chimney breast needs doing and the door and celing up its mostley furnishings that need doing now :) the little girls with their ballet shoes, are stickers from hobbycraft as is the border ribbon. and the ballet shoes is an iron on for things like jeans, which is too from hobbycraft.

essay accomplished, let mini-ing begin

well i can now say ive finally finished my essay at last, just a final read through to do before its printed. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! lol. so next on the list to do is to sort that girls bedroom out....ive decided to go back to scratch and removed the card from the wall and sand it down, then paint it pink again to see if it takes, lets hope so.. although ive had another idea, not sure what it will look like but it maybe worth a try. I thought about perhaps hanging a sort of opaque see through material in the alcovey (if thats a word lol~) bit...hmmm just thought that its different...

well as yet i have to do any mini-ing at all today :( part of it has something to do with the fact that ive got an essay due in for uni next week, and i really want to get it done, even more so as its my brothers 21st this week and hes having a party on sat. he thinks its going to be a big one, mother thinks otherwise ha.
hopefully if i manage to get most of my work done and my bedroom tidied, as its a tip then some mini-ing may happen. if thats the case my goal is to get that stupid back wall done in the girls bedroom before i go mad... then its on to making the new bathroom walls. :)

and yet again its snowing again in bradford, wish it would just piss off to be fair, i hate it, its nice tho when you dont have to go out in it, but ive got to go to hull next weekend, and the guinea piggies are outside hmph lol.

ok well havnt got anything really to share today, its my brothers 21st so ive been getting ready for tonite as where going out for a meal, and been picked up by a bnw limo, not that he knows it yet lol. but id just though id share a few pics of my house so far, theres a pic from each room, except from the bathroom as the walls have been knocked down as theyve been repainted and instead of the triangle shaped walls they are now rectangle to match the nursery as this is now a new level. the house itself is still in two halfs whcih u may notice in the pic of the stairs, its just easier to finish the stairs and other bits like lighting whilst its still in to rather than a whole house if you get me.

girls princess bedrrom

ok, this room still needs finishing. ive had a major problem with that back wall and its driving me insane, for some reason the paint wouldnt take to the walls, i think because the paint had a little natural gloss on it, that might have something to do with it, so i tried card and as you can see that didnt work it just ripped when the lights fell off. so my plan is to strip back this wall and sand it down and start again, see if that helps.

Theres also going to be a chimney breast on that wall to co-ordinate with the downstairs and with the nursery. the celing, skirting and coving need to be done. but you get the picture.

i mainly took these pics for progress really and to see how my new handmade bedding looks with the rest of the room, and i must say im quite impressed on how it goes, looks great. this bedroom is going to be a really girly room, the girls love anything pink or purple and love to watch and perform ballet. true girls at heart..

bunk bed bedding

 right, so here is the bedding i made for my girls bedroom. these girls are mad on pink and purple, ballet and disney princessess. :)

The new winnie the pooh nursery.

Well this is the new winnie the pooh bear nursery. it needs finishing and needs another coat of paint on the floor. This floor is made from the lollypop sticks technique that i picked up, from the forum :) the chimney breast still needs doing and the skirting board, coving, and the celing. also you can see a bit of a gap, this was where the stairs was origionally, so it just needs filling and flooring put down.

the muckey mark on the wall is glue, but a window is going to be put there so its all good, also where all the butterflies are, thats going to be removed as the chimney breast is going theres, so theres going to be a chinmey breast full of butterflies on there at some point

the rugs just there as a filler, its going to be a winnnie the pooh rug eventually.

nursery cot bedding

 the nursery is going to be pink but most of its accessories are based around winnie the pooh so i thought this was great... my first peice of bedding ive made, just need to finish the bumper and the sheet but am happy with it. one thing i always do is put myself down, so one of my new years resolutions is not to do that, thanks to the forum members for their lovely comments, and christine for telling me not to put myself down lol...

howdy!

well think its about time i update this blog, havnt done so in such a long time lol... just never seam to find the time to do it.. Anyway not a lot has really happened since the last time i updated, ive made a few bedding sets-pics to follow.. oh ive moved the nursery and built another one on the third floor and im just in the middle of decorating it, ive done the flooring-pics to follow, and ive also been busy doing the front door to the cottage after much decision on what colour to do it.. the girls bedroom is also almost done!.
